WEST WILMINGTON JR. ACADEMY

Wilmington Junior Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist private, coeducational, Christian academy located in in Wilmington, DE. Our program is adapted to the specific challenges of our changing educational climate through a uniquely personal, rigorous, and Christ centered learning environment for grades K through 8.

Our staff is committed to providing quality education in a Christ-filled environment. Safety remains top priority, with strict attention and adherence to guidelines from the state of Delaware. CHILDCARE PROGRAM

Wilmington Junior Academy Childcare offers a nurturing childcare program for infants through preschool, providing a strong foundation in a faith-based environment.

ENROLLMENT

Application

The parents need to complete and submit the application and additional documentation to the principal, who will then call for the Admissions Committee to meet.

Placement Test

A prospective student may be required to take a placement test. Based on the test and other factors, the student will be placed in the appropriate grade or group at the discretion of the principal in consultation with the teacher.

Review

The Admissions Committee will review the application materials and make a recommendation to the School Board. The School Board makes the final determination of acceptance based upon the Admissions Committee’s recommendation.

Admission

Upon acceptance, the principal will contact the parents to complete the necessary registration forms and receive payment of the registration fee and school supply fee from the parents.

Registration

After the registration documents are completed and turned in, the treasurer and/or principal will assist the family sign up for a FACTS account from which tuition payments can be scheduled for the school year.

Enroll

Upon the completion of these steps, the student is enrolled. Late registrants will be admitted into class the day after the registration packet is completed and the parent is signed up for FACTS.
